Martin Kinoulty

Martin has a wide range of experience in both strategic and operational roles within Transco and BG Group.

Prior to leaving BG Group he held the post of Strategic Planning Manager and was involved in reviewing the group's performance in a wide range of activities. Before this he played a key role in the sale of the BG Storage assets to Dynegy in his position as Chief Operating Officer of BG Storage.

This role built on Martin's previous storage experience leading the strategy which removed BG storage from Transco's Public Gas Transporters Licence and established it as a separate stand alone business. He was also responsible for agreeing with the regulator and the industry the storage auctions and supplemental services together with the necessary supporting systems and contracts.

Prior to the above Martin managed a Transco local transmission and distribution business and held lead regulatory positions. He was responsible for negotiating and agreeing the content of the Gas Act and Transporters Licence with the regulator and government departments.

Martin has a Law Degree and, in his early career within Transco, provided legal advice during the development of transportation contracts following the creation of the new transportation business and ongoing legal advice on negotiations with the regulator and shippers as the competitive market developed.
